Description
A small tree native to China,
Sorbus caloneura is very early into leaf with the leaves being deeply veined and light green, flushed with pink turning darker green as the year goes on. In a good autumn the leaves develop handsome red tints before falling. Clusters of eye-catching white flowers with purple anthers appear in early summer, followed by pear-shaped golden-brown fruit on established plants in autumn. An unusual, small garden tree!
