Description
An unusual selected form,
Hamamelis vernalis 'Lombard's Weeping' has a spreading habit and gracefully weeping branches covered with dainty reddish-purple, scented flowers in late winter or spring. A smaller witch hazel than the other cultivars listed here due to its pendulous branches.

- Soil: Well drained, fertile soil. Hamamelis vernalis 'Lombard's Weeping' dislikes shallow, chalk soil and will not grow well in wet or waterlogged conditions.
- Hardiness: Reasonably hardy. As a young plant, Hamamelis vernalis 'Lombard's Weeping' may require protection from severe, late spring frosts once the young leaves have emerged in spring.
