Description

An eye-catching tree, Fraxinus excelsior 'Jaspidea' has mid green leaves in spring / summer and glorious, long lasting, butter yellow autumn colours in mid to late October. Also, the young stems are an attractive, golden-yellow and are particularly handsome throughout winter, darkening to brown after several years.

Fraxinus excelsior 'Jaspidea' is a lovely and easy to grow garden tree with good autumn colour and long-lasting winter interest.

Supplied Size: 7.5L containers (freshly potted at 150 - 175 cm tall)

• Position: Full sun or light, dappled shade.
• Soil: Any fertile soil.
• Hardiness: Hardy.
• Rate of Growth: Vigorous.
• Habit: Fraxinus excelsior 'Jaspidea' grows to be a medium sized tree with a rounded crown once established.
  • Height: 15 m (50 ft).
  • Spread: 12 m (40 ft).

• Notes: We have a specimen of Fraxinus excelsior 'Jaspidea', planted in the woodland garden surrounding our nursery. At 13 years old, it had reached a height of 7 m, a spread of 5 m.
