Description
Unusual and compact new selection of Cercis suitable for smaller gardens which is absolutely covered in pretty rosy-mauve flowers in early spring. Cercis chinensis 'Don Egolf' is generally slower growing then most other Cercis, forming a shrub in the short term or eventually very small tree over many years. The leaves are handsome and dark green in colour.
Best in a position with full sun, Cercis chinensis 'Don Egolf' makes a striking standalone shrub or can be trained against a south facing wall or fence.

Notes: Cercis do not transplant well and should be left undisturbed once planted in position. Please do not feed Cercis chinensis 'Don Egolf' with artificial plant food after planting it out, this can severely damage the root system.
