Description

Handsome species of hornbeam with superb autumn colour which can be found growing in the wild as an attractive, under storey tree in the woods of Eastern North America. Carpinus caroliniana is a rare tree in the United Kingdom, with dark green leaves in spring / summer which turn fantastic shades of bright red, yellow and orange in autumn before falling.

Once established this Carpinus has attractive, fluted bark and elegant arching branches. A superb garden tree for autumn colour!
