Description

A handsome Berberis with a narrow, fastigiate (upright) habit and colourful, dark purple-red leaves in spring / summer which turn intense shades of red before falling in autumn. Small, pale yellow flowers appear in spring, followed by shiny, bright red berries later in the year.

The upright shape makes Berberis thunbergii 'Helmond Pillar' a good choice for formal planting and a distinctive garden shrub!
