Description

An unusual and spectacular large shrub or small tree. Acer campestre 'Carnival' is a slow growing form of our native field maple and has elegant creamy-white, variegated leaves which in spring appear tinged with pink. An excellent choice of maple for brightening up a dark area of a garden.

  • Position: Full sun or light, partial shade.
  • Soil: Any well drained, fertile soil.
  • Hardiness: Fully hardy.
  • Rate of Growth: Slow to moderate.
  • Habit: Very small, spreading tree.
    • Height: 4 m (13 ft)
    • Spread: 4 m (13 ft)
  • Notes: We have an established specimen of Acer campestre 'Carnival', planted in the woodland garden surrounding our nursery. This garden is open to the public and the plant can be seen all year round.
  • Size: 2L containers
