Description - Morus alba 'Pendula'
A choice small, weeping tree, Morus alba 'Pendula' has masses of delicious small fruit which turn dark-red when ripe and very ornamental bright green leaves which turn butter yellow in autumn before falling. The photo shows a plant in our gardens which we have trained up a series of large bamboo canes to a height of 400 cm. Once at this height, the canes were removed and this has created a marvellous 'fountain' effect as the branches weep down. As the end height of this Morus is easy to dictate, it is suitable for growing in gardens of all sizes.
