SPECIAL OFFER - One of the best known clematis varieties, Clematis 'Jackmanii' was first introduced in the 19th century and has masses of deep purple-blue flowers in summer and early autumn.

Clematis 'Jackmanii'  is an excellent climber for many positions but is known for being particularly hardy and suitable for growing up trellis against a sunny wall or fence.

  • Position: Full sun or partial shade.
  • Soil: Well drained, fertile soil.
  • Hardiness: Hardy.

  • Habit: Clematis 'Jackmanii' grows to be a medium sized, scrambling climber.

  • Pruning: To reduce the size or rejuvenate, prune Clematis 'Jackmanii' back to a pair of strong buds, 15 - 20 cm above ground level before growth begins in early spring.
